Christina Lamers, PhD

Junior Professor at Leipzig University

I love to design, synthesize and test novel therapeutic compounds. Especially, cyclic peptides fascinate me due to their high selectivity, high affinity and rapid identification by phage display.

Therefore, in my lab we focus on:

  • Basic research on the complement system and other parts of the innate immune system
    • Phage display to identify tool compounds modulating complement function
    • Solid phase peptide synthesis and manual chemical peptide modification
    • in vitro characterization of synthesized peptides with SPR, BLI, MST and other methods as well as in cell assays

Sharing my knowledge with other and exchange ideas

  • Teaching Pharmaceutical Chemistry
    • Lecture: Pharmazeutische und Medizinische Chemie, Ringvorlesung. Pharmazie, Hauptstudium
    • Practical courses: Arneistoff- und Arzneimittelanalytik
